On Life: Waiting

Waiting is so hard.I've been waiting for something for so long. I have prayed and fasted, yet it seems God doesn't hear me. I have waited patiently, and sometimes impatiently. Sometimes I am encouraged, and sometimes I am discouraged. Sometimes it feels like the answer is near. Sometimes it feel like the answer is far away. Sometimes I feel that God wants me to have this thing, sometimes I'm not so sure. Sometimes it's easy to smile and keep hope alive. But sometimes it's hard to stay hopeful. Sometimes I can cheer myself up, and sometimes I feel like crying.

I had been feeling discouraged. But then I remembered: God had been good to me thus far. He has been faithful to me. He has never failed me when I needed Him most. And I have no other person to turn to. I shouldn't let my problem take me away from God. I should draw nearer to God in times of trouble. Only Him can meet my deepest needs. Only Him can hear my most earnest prayer. Only Him can give me complete peace of mind.

Yes it is very hard waiting. But God can use me in that time. And develop the gift of patience in me while I wait.

You're right. God is doing an eternal work in you while you wait. Nothing of promise comes instant. Remember the children of promise - Isaac, John the baptist. Keep believing.

James 1: 4 But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.

  3. God is always faithful. The waiting process is where our faith is tested. But We know that HE is faithful.

  6. I like the sincerity of this post. It shows the vicissitudes of life. You are keeping it real. Waiting can be very hard.

Many times, there is faith and doubt in the same heart, hope and fear ,laughter and tears, desire to continue waiting and desire to give up.

I trust that God will grant you strength during the seasons of this phase of your life. He understands your pain.

Let me share something I read : "God synchronizes (timing) His answers to accomplish His purpose"-T.D Jakes.

The best is yet to come, FG (I bet it is not an easy time sha)

  10. Hmmm I have been waiting for something from God for a while now. I can relate to all the mixed feelings. But I have come to a place where I strongly am believing that I wasn't prepared or wise before to receive my Blesing. As I wait I am getting smarter by the days concerning what I am asking God for. In everything you shud give God the glory for when it all falls into place you will understand it. Be patient and wait on the Lord He is perfect.

  11. Hey hun, I know waiting is hard but whatever it is you're asking him for ... it's going to be so much more amazing if he grants it in his time rather than yours.

    Have a great Easter!

  13. Waiting is one of the hardest things to do, and the worst thing is that there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. believe me i know cos i have been waiting 2years and more now BUT i knnow that "DELAY DOESNT MEAN DENIED" so gal lets use thsi period as a preparatory time and just stay focused, have faith that you will get that which u have waited for and it will wipe away all ur tears.

"Noah waited for 120 years for the fullfilment of God's word
For Noah there was nothing like rain in his day

Abraham waited 25 years for an heir
He was old....way too old to have a child

    David : Joseph : Paul
All great men of God,but still had to wait for the fulfillment of His word

    I hear someone say hmm

    But it's true
We all have to wait to manifest

    But we all have to

Some for one day,one week, one month one year.....

    But wait we will
    And while waiting........BELIEVE

That He who has promised is well able to do exceeding
abundantly far above all we could ever ask or think of
